Disagree. Aldi and Lidl are excellent value for money.

Here in Germany the days where Aldi and Lidl had bad reputations are long over. These days no one is ashamed anymore to say they do the majority of their shopping at Aldi or Lidl.
As indeed for a lot of stuff in there you get good value for money. If West Ham could become anywhere near as successful as Aldi or Lidl I'd be well happy.

This would be the Patrick Barclay who called for Sheffield United and Wigan to engage in match fixing to ensure West Ham went down.

Aldi and Lidl are shit shops but OK if you want to buy a horse riding helmet or an air compressor.

I love how those with a grudge to bear are desperately trying to find a negative in cutting the price of tickets. Long may it continue.

It was either a back handed compliment or damning with feint praise.
Barclay, not 1964.

The ground has not been sold yet. An agreement has been reached but the sale only goes through after we've left. This is important because it means we haven't got the cash yet.

He's suggesting we are doing a good thing. He can't just say that so he does a bit of a snobby dig at the German supermarkets. Bit wanly really.
